Our furnaces are used primarily for deep-case carburizing and quench-tempering.  In addition, Bonell can expand very large sleeves to close tolerances.  This shrink-fit procedure allows us to make perfect re-sleeves, bringing undersize rolls back to print size.

The heat treating process is followed by an oil, brine, or air quench, depending upon the material type and desired properties of the finished roll
